“LITTLE ZHUZHA”
Kids book illustrations
A series of black and white illustrations for a children’s book concept centered around a child and their imaginary dragon. Each scene takes place in the same bedroom, but shifts through different small narratives and everyday moments, with changing objects and subtle story variations. The character is intentionally gender-neutral, allowing readers to project themselves into the story and build their own connection with the imaginary friend dynamic. The child is also shown wearing different hats throughout the series, reinforcing that sense of openness and play. The project currently includes five completed spreads, with plans to expand it into a full book in the future. The style is playful and illustrative, focusing on storytelling through simple composition and expressive linework rather than color.
